A warm welcome!
My name is Marc A. Buchholtz. I am a theologian, business coach and organisational developer. I am delighted
that you would like to find out more about me and my concept, "berufENsein"!

"Test everything – keep the best!!"    I Thess 5,21

On either side of my path, there have always been things that struck me as worth noting – signposts that can indicate whether one is still on the right track. In the spirit of Paul’s words, “Test everything - keep the best!” (1 Thess. 5:21), I have adopted the motto of appreciative critical examination: not to keep running with blinders on, but to remain open to new and different things, whilst never losing sight of the direction.

On the other hand, I agree with Voltaire’s view that ‘the better is the enemy of the good’. I am convinced that there is nothing in this world that cannot be improved upon. Progress is important, but it is not an end in itself! It must always be judged by whether it truly takes us further than what has already been tried and tested. Many seeds of new developments have already been sown and are just waiting to be discovered.

My work is underpinned by the combination of my core competencies as a theologian and European business coach, trainer and consultant in the healthcare and financial services sectors. My strengths include the ability to view interrelationships from a systemic perspective, coupled with a high degree of empathy.

I aim to treat everyone with openness and respect, on an equal footing. In my view, added value stems from diversity because – to paraphrase Aristotle – the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
